FORT FRANCES, Ont. -- The Kam River Fighting Walleye are on a roll.

The Superior International Junior Hockey League club, backed by a 37-save shutout performance by goaltender Eric Vanska, captured their eighth straight win on Saturday night and moved into a first-place tie with the idle Red Lake Miners, both teams sporting identical 10-2-1 records.

Kam River will take on cross-town rival Thunder Bay at Fort William Gardens on Wednesday night.
