Fighting Walleye land high-scoring forward in four-player trade

Dayton Clarke has 12 goals in 20 games with the NOJHL's Elliot Lake Red Wings.

OLIVER PAIPOONGE -- The Kam River Fighting Walleye have made a three-for-one trade to bolster their lineup in the second half of the Superior International Junior Hockey League season.

The Fighting Walleye of have landed forward Dayton Clarke from the Elliot Lake Red Wings of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, along with player development fee money,

The 20-year-old Victoria native has 12 goals in 20 games with the Red Wings in 2021-22.

In exchange the Fighting Walleye are sending forwards Owen Lancaster and Kjell Osborne, and defenceman Callum McGill, who played for Great Britain at the Division 2 World Junior Hockey Championship.

Lancaster, from Lake Echo, N.S., has six points in 15 appearances with Kam River. Osborne has nine points in 18 games, while McGill has two in 12.
