THUNDER BAY – Fire crews were on scene early Monday morning at a structural fire on Simpson Street.
According to a release, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue received multiple calls around 1:24 a.m. for a structural fire on the 500 block of Simpson Street.
The fire was located in the rear of the property against the building and had reached the rear roof area of the structure.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue upon arrival observed a large amount of smoke and flames emanating from the rear of the building and at that time a second alarm was initiated.
The fire was quickly brought under control.
The cause is under investigation.
