A fire has caused extensive damage to a home on Fort William First Nation.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a structural fire at a mobile trailer on Wolf Court in the early morning hours Saturday.

The trailer was fully involved when firefighters arrived, prompting a second alarm call.

After responders were able to knock down the fire to allow a search, the home was found to be clear of any residents, TBFR reported.

The fire was later deemed under control and salvage and overhaul was completed. The agency described damage to the home as extensive.
