THUNDER BAY – A garage suffered extensive damage in a Saturday morning blaze.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews responded to reports of a garage fire on 25th Side Road shortly after 11 a.m. after an initial 911 call was placed by a passerby who saw flames and heavy smoke.
The blaze was quickly contained and appeared to be under control before noon. Firefighters could be seen tackling the fire from above, pouring water down through the roof.
It appeared the fire was contained to the garage with no other structures on the property suffering damage.
Fire Rescue officials said there were no injuries. The cause was not immediately disclosed.
