Fire crews were called to the Fort William First Nation Sunday to deal with a blaze at a convenience store and gar bar.
Just before 8 a.m., crews were called to Squaw Bay Road and arrived to find Grandpa's Convenience Store up in flames. Fire officials say they managed to extinguish the blaze fairly quickly but there was considerable damage to the store.
The fire did not spread to the nearby gas pump and there were no injuries. The building was vacant at the time of the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
