THUNDER BAY – A fire caused significant damage to a home in Current River Tuesday night, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue reports.
Three residents who were in the Strathcona Avenue home around 9 p.m. when the fire broke out managed to escape.
Two of those residents were transported to hospital to be assessed for smoke inhalation.
Fire crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control, but not before it caused significant damage, the TBFR said.
A total of six pumper vehicles, an aerial ladder, and a platoon chief attended the scene.
