THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay Fire Rescue says it appears an overheated piece of machinery led to a fire at an industrial site in the 200 block of  W. Gore Street on Thursday afternoon.

In a release, TBFR said they received a report of a fire  at about 4 p.m. and arrived to find smoke pouring from the structure.

Crews donned self-contained breathing apparatus and extended 45 millimetre hoses into the building, containing the fire to the back of the structure and preventing its spread.

There were no injuries reported.

Five pumper trucks, a command unit and an aerial ladder responded to the blaze.
