FORT WILLIAM FIRST NATION, Ont. -- Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire Tuesday night, but not before causing damage to an Anemki Drive home.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a structural fire in a single storey bungalow on the 100 block of Anemki Drive on Fort William First Nation.
When crews arrived they determined the fire was burning underneath the residence within a crawl space and initiated a second alarm.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze and as a result, the damage was concentrated to the lower level of the home within the crawl space.
There were no injuries to the occupants or fire personnel, according to a Thunder Bay Fire release.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
