Firefighters douse small residential fire

Sheridan Crescent home suffers damage in afternoon blaze.

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews were quick to douse a small residential fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon at a Sheridan Crescent home.

According to reports, a portion of the deck and siding at the back of the home caught fire.

A smell of smoke could be detected in the air and it appeared firefighters had removed some of the siding to put the small blaze out.

It’s believed no one was home at the time of the fire.
