A fire at McIvor Court had fire crews busy Sunday morning.
Crews from four fire stations responded to the call just after 10 am. Platoon Chief Kim Hutch said the fire started in the garbage compactor unit on the main floor.
Hutch added that, as a precaution, the tenants were moved to a safe area in the building as crews extinguished the fire.
No one was injured as a result of the fire, but the smoke had migrated to several floors of the building.
Hutch said the cost of damage is minimal and they continue to investigate.
