No one was hurt, but firefighters did have to rescue some family pets following a fire at a Georgina Bay townhouse Monday morning.
Fire crews were called to the home shortly after 11 a.m. They arrived to find smoke coming from the windows of one of the townhouses.
Officials with Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue services believe the fire may have originated from the stove in the kitchen. Maintenance person Derek Ross was one of the first people to spot the smoke.
The residents of the unit were not home at the time of the fire. .
