Firefighters respond to early morning shed fire

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue was on scene early Friday morning at a shed fire on the 400 block of County Boulevard.

Fire crews arrived on scene around 4 a.m. to find a shed fully involved in fire, which had extended to a nearby fence.

According to a release, two homes were close by and were in danger of catching on fire, but an attack hose line was used to quickly contain the fire to the immediate area.

One home suffered some heat damage and was thoroughly checked for fire spread on the exterior and interior.

There were no injuries reported resulting from the fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
