City firefighters dealt with a fire on each side of the city Monday morning.
Firefighters with the Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue responded to a small fire in a chip bin at the Bowater Sawmill just after midnight Monday. Officials say an overheated bearing was the cause of that fire.
Meanwhile, just after 1 a.m., firefighters responded to fire at the back of a Blucher Avenue home.
There was some interior damage, and the cause of that fire remains under investigation.
