THUNDER BAY – A south side garage suffered moderate damage after a fire broke out late Wednesday morning.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews responded to a report of smoke coming from a garage on Arthur Street West around 11:15 a.m.
The fire was quickly brought under control with moderate damage to the attached garage of the home.
The cause is under investigation.
Fire crews also responded to a call on the city’s north side late Wednesday afternoon.
According to a release, a built-in space heater at a business located at 220 Red River Road was smoking in a basement bathroom.
This was also quickly brought under control by responding crews.
Minimal damage to the business was reported.
