THUNDER BAY — Firefighters dealt with a fire at a townhouse complex on Limbrick Street on Thursday night.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue officials said crews were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m., where they found a fire on the second floor of a townhouse unit.

Officials said the fire in the unit was quickly brought under control during the initial attack, but it had spread to the attic area of the entire complex. An aerial ladder truck was used to battle the fire in the roof and attic area, bringing the blaze completely under control.

The damage to the building is estimated at $200,000, fire officials said.

The response included 30 firefighters, with seven pumper trucks and two aerial ladder trucks.

There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
