THUNDER BAY -- The city's first baby of 2022 arrived 67 minutes into the new year.

Claire Rose-Ann Russell was born at 1:07 a.m. on Saturday, to parents Christy Peterson and Dylan Russell, at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

The youngster weighed eight pounds, two ounces.

"Please join us in congratulating the family on their new bundle of joy and wishing them well," reads a post on the hospital Facebook.
