More than 200 people from around the region are gathering in Thunder Bay this week to network with trades people during the 10th Annual First Nations Northern Housing Conference.
The three-day conference kicked off Tuesday morning with an opening ceremony and addresses from dignitaries.
The event shares new building technologies with First Nation communities across Ontario.
Anishinabek Nation Grand Council Chief Patrick Madahbee said it's a great venue for networking with construction workers and suppliers who can help First Nation communities build better housing and infrastructure.
Day 2 of the conference goes Wednesday with a trade show and the popular builders' challenge.
