Voters in five Ontario ridings have until 9 p.m. Thursday to cast ballots in byelections that are seen as a test of Kathleen Wynne's six months as premier.
Observers will be looking to see if voters hold Wynne responsible for issues such as the gas-plant scandal that happened under her predecessor, Dalton McGuinty.
Analysts say PC Leader Tim Hudak must take at least one of the five ridings to hold off challenges to his leadership.
The New Democrats are widely expected to take Windsor-Tecumseh.
Wynne's Liberals will still lead a minority government regardless of the outcomes of the byelections.
