Five-year-old hit by vehicle, hospitalized

Police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a child on Tuesday.

KENORA – A five-year-old is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after having been struck by a vehicle in Kenora.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, police were dispatched to a report of a five-year-old that was hit by a vehicle Tuesday around 6:12 p.m. on Minto Drive.

Police responded with Kenora Emergency Medical Services and the youth was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

OPP want to remind everyone that it is the law that anyone under 18 wear a helmet on a bike in Ontario.
