The president of the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition figures the damage from flooding in the building that houses CLE offices, the Cardinal Room and the Coliseum will be in the range of $100,000.

Parts of the structure suffered water damage after a feeder main just outside the building broke over the weekend.

"I'm not an estimator but ... I'm just looking at it myself. I would say it's at least close to a hundred grand," Danny Mosa told tbnewswatch.com today.

Mosa said the CLE's insurance policy will cover the cost of repairs.

The pipe broke outside the building early Sunday on the Northern Avenue side, barely on CLE property.

Mosa noted that "we were hoping that the break was another two or three feet to the south, and it would be the city's problem" to fix.

Two CLE office staff members are still working inside but the flooding has caused general inconvenience, Mosa said.

"Everybody else is just hopping over boxes, trying to find phones and everything else. But right now, I can't even find a phone to use. I have to come home and use the phone.
