THUNDER BAY -- Some less fortunate members of the community will have access to a good meal thanks to some young chefs at Westgate High School.

THUNDER BAY -- Some less fortunate members of the community will have access to a good meal thanks to some young chefs at Westgate High School.

This Grade 11 foods class was hard at work Tuesday afternoon, making a hundred tuna sandwiches that will be distributed by the Regional Food Bank along with some soup.

The classroom was part kitchen, part assembly line as the students worked diligently to make and package all the sandwiches during the 75-minute class.

Westgate is one of a number of Lakehead Public high schools participating as part of the school board's partnership with the RFDA.
