Fort Frances man charged after vehicle break-in spree

Accused faces eight counts of theft under $5,000, seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of fraud under $5,000.

FORT FRANCES, Ont. -- A 20-year-old has been arrested after being suspected of being behind a number of vehicle break-ins over the course of the last week.

Provincial police in Fort Frances investigated a number of thefts from vehicles that occurred from July 4-9.

On Tuesday they announced the accused has been charged with eight counts of theft under $5,000, seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of fraud under $5,000.

The suspect remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court later Wednesday.
