FORT FRANCES -- On January 4, 2017 members of the Ontario Provincial Police’s Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) and North West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a local residence in Fort Frances, Ontario.
In executing the warrant a quantity of Cannabis Marijuana and crime related proceeds were seized.
As a result of the investigation a 19-year-old Fort Frances male has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is to appear in Fort Frances Criminal Court on March 6, 2017.
