A mill worker from Fort Frances is in critical condition in a Toronto hospital following an explosion Thursday at the Resolute mill.
A company spokesperson confirmed Friday that the man suffered burn injuries after the explosion and fire in the biomass boiler.
An investigator with the Ministry of Labour is now on site.
The Resolute official calls it an unfortunate situation, and says they're working with the ministry to get to the root cause of the incident.
The mill had stopped producing pulp and paper indefinitely on Jan. 31, but the biomass boiler continues to operate.
