Fort Frances resident nabbed for impaired driving

FORT FRANCES – A motor vehicle in the ditch has resulted in charges for a 52-year-old Fort Frances woman.

Ontario Provincial Police officers observed a motor vehicle in the ditch on Sunday, Dec. 5 on King’s Highway 11 in the Township of Emo.

Officers conducted a mandatory alcohol screening device on the driver and she was arrested at the scene.

A 52-year-old of Fort Frances is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The driver’s licence was seized.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 17, 2022.
