FORT WILLIAM FIRST NATION, ON — Motorists in the Thunder Bay area currently have access to the lowest price for gas anywhere in Ontario.
Local drivers have complained for years about the high cost of gas in Northwestern Ontario compared with other parts of the province.
As of Monday, they can do some bragging.
According to ontariogasprices.com, four gas bars on Fort William First Nation now offer Ontario's lowest prices.
K & A leads the way with a price of $1.299 per litre, followed by three gas bars with prices of $1.39 or less.
It's a far cry from June, when gas bars in Thunder Bay posted prices as high as $2.25 per litre.
CAA reports that the current average price in the Thunder Bay area is $1.568.
In Ontario, the average is $1.66.
