Four charged after combined forces drug raid

Police arrested four people and seized marijuana, cocaine, pills and cash after three separate searches Thursday.

Police arrested four people and seized marijuana, cocaine, pills and cash after three separate searches Thursday.

Officials with the combined forces organized crime unit announced Friday that officers raided a home on East Cristina Street and another residence on Logan Street in Thunder Bay. Officers also searched Black Chrome Apparel on Red River Road.

Police say all three searches related to a single investigation.

As a result of those searches, police seized about seven pounds of marijuana, 57 grams of cocaine, 93 codeine pills and a small amount of Psilocybin, which is more commonly known as magic mushrooms.

Police also seized Hells Angels’ clothing and about $3,400 in Canadian cash.

Following the search, police charged Arthur Goch, 48, of Thunder Bay with possession of cocaine, possession of psilocybin and possession of codeine.

Lori Chabot, 43, of Thunder Bay, faces charges of possession of cocaine, possession of psilocybin and possession of codeine.

Joao Dacosta, 44, of Thunder Bay, has been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime.

Kathleen Dacosta, 40, of Thunder Bay, has been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

All suspects have been released and are schedule to appear in court on Jan. 27, 2012 to face the charges against them.

None of the above mentioned charged have been proven in court.
