Four charged with first-degree murder in Cumming Street death

City police have charged four individuals with first-degree murder following a homicide Tuesday morning.

THUNDER BAY -- City police have arrested and charged four people with first-degree murder in connection to a homicide at a Cumming Street apartment.

Thunder Bay Police have identified the deceased as 25-year-old Ashley Chantal McKay of Thunder Bay.

The next of kin have been notified.

Officers have been actively canvassing the area and investigators are awaiting the results of the post-mortem examination.

The crime scene remains under police control.

Marlene Lou Kwandibens, 37, Roger Donald McKay, 34, Terryl Nicole Irene Michon, 21, and Darren Steven Oombash, 24, all of Thunder Bay, each face a charge of first-degree murder.

All accused have been remanded into custody with a future court date.
