Four new constables join Dryden, Ignace OPP

Two OPP detachments in northwestern Ontario are welcoming four new constables.

DRYDEN — Four new provincial constables have joined the Ontario Provincial Police in Dryden and Ignace.

In Dryden, OPP have welcomed one new officer and the Ignace OPP have welcomed three new constables, according to a news release issued on Friday, March 26.

Const. Erica Kollman will work in Dryden. Prior to being hired with the OPP, she studied at Nipissing University and Canadore College.

Const. Mandie Ryan, Const. Jordan DaSilva and Const. Kyle Cuthbert have all joined the Ignace OPP.

Ryan is from Dryden and previously worked as a paramedic with Northwest EMS prior to joining the OPP.

DaSilva is originally from Barrie, Ont., and previously worked as a municipal law enforcement officer in Georgian Bay. 

Cuthbert comes from St. Thomas, Ont., and previously worked as a community support and addictions counsellor.

All four officers have begun their roles in their respective communities, according to the release.
