Four new COVID-19 cases revealed

Three of the cases are in First Nations communities, while the fourth is related to Lac Des Iles Mine.

THUNDER BAY – Four new cases of COVID-19 have been announced by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

Three of the cases are listed as being from First Nations communities, while the fourth is related to Lac Des Iles Mine.

All four cases are self-isolating.

The three First Nations cases are two males and a female, all under 20. The Lac Des Iles case is a man in his 50s.

It brings the total number of cases in the TBDHU region to 67. Fifty-one have been resolved and one patient’s death is attributed to the virus.

There are currently 368 cases under investigation. A total of 2,515 tests have been conducted to date.
