Four people, including a 75-year-old, attacked with bear spray

THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police are looking for a man who used what appeared to be bear spray to assault several people in a bus shelter Monday night.

Two of the four victims, who included a 75-year-old man, required medical assistance from Superior North EMS.

Police say the incident occurred just before midnight near Paterson Park.

The victims were waiting in a bus shelter when a man, thought to be in his twenties, approached and sprayed all of them with a noxious substance.

The perpetrator was last seen running in the direction of Cumming Street.

He's described as being about 5-foot-8, with a thin build.

This individual was wearing a black and white hoodie with red stripes, and a grey or red pair of joggers.
