A four-vehicle crash along the Thunder Bay Expressway temporarily backed up traffic heading towards the Harbour Expressway.
OPP officers responded to the call of a crash along the expressway after 4 p.m. Tuesday near the left turning lane heading to the Trans-Canada Highway. The crash involved four cars; three cars received major damage and were towed away. The crash caused traffic to be backed up for several kilometres and nearly reached the one kilometer Arthur Street sign.
A few minutes after the crash, police were already moving the vehicles off the road.
One person was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for assessment.
Police say charges are pending.
The investigation is ongoing.
