Representatives from the Thunder Bay Indian Friendship Centre will appear at Monday's city council meeting to speak about a proposed Aboriginal Youth Centre.
The centre's executive director Bernice Dubec says they hope to discuss their proposed location and funding costs with the city.
She says the Aboriginal population has a large youth sector and it's time to start addressing their needs.
Dubec adds that programming would take a holistic approach. The plan is to work with youth to identify specific services that would be offered at the centre.
