Frost advisory issued for city

Temperatures expected to drop near the freezing point overnight.

THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is under a June frost advisory.

Environment Canada issued the alert on Saturday morning, saying frost is likely in the evening and into Sunday morning, with ground temperatures expected to fall near zero.

The government weather agency advises people to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

According to thunderbayweatherstats.ca, the normal daily minimum temperature on June 13 over the past 20 years is 7.4 C. The weather service is calling for a high of 17 C on Saturday.
