THUNDER BAY – A neighbourhood group says it plans to turn to city hall for funding support after learning funding supporting them has been cut.

Evergreen a United Neighbourhood Group, which took over a seized Hells Angels clubhouse on Heron Street and provides programming to youth in the area, could close its doors for good as a result.

The organization plans to hold a news conference on Wednesday to detail the dire situation they’re facing after the Thunder Bay District Social Services Administration Board decided to end the funding through the Community Social Reinvestment Fund, thanks in part to provincial budget cuts.

The funding is due to end next year.
