DRYDEN, ON — A funeral mass will be held Friday in Dryden for the principal of the city's Catholic elementary school and for his son who both died in a highway accident in Manitoba.
54-year-old Mark Albert Lugli and 17-year-old Jacob Anthony Lugli were killed Sunday when their pickup truck was struck by an oncoming transport truck which veered into their lane on the Trans-Canada Highway near Falcon Lake.
On Tuesday, the Northwest Catholic District School Board arranged for grief counsellors to be present at St. Joseph's School, and invited staff, students and families to attend a drop-in there.
Friday's funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM in the Dryden Memorial Arena.
