THUNDER BAY – With the long weekend in the rear-view mirror, gasoline prices have begun to drop in Thunder Bay.

A week after jumping six cents a litre, stations across the city have inexplicably dropped the price at the pumps by the same amount.

The Real Canadian Superstore, which was selling regular unleaded for $1.239 a litre, continues to offer the lowest price in the city, at $1.179.

Several other stations in town have dropped to $1.189 a litre.

Bannon’s Gas Bar and K&A Variety and Gas Bar, both located on Fort William First Nation, are offering the lowest price in the area, at $1.03.9, according to watchdog website gasbuddy.com.
