Gas prices falling, but motorists still pay more in Thunder Bay

Gas prices have dropped about eight cents a litre at most stations around the city.The average price is now sitting at just under 1.31-cents- a-litre, which is down from the 1.39-per litre that most gas stations were posting last week.

Prices peaked in May when gas bars around the city began selling regular fuel for about 1.44-cents-a-litre.

But despite the recent drop in prices, the city is still higher than most other cities across Ontario.

According to the website ontariogasprices.com, the average price across the province right is 126.3-cents-per-litre, and falling.

Gas across Canada is averaging about 124.6-cents-a-litre.

Meanwhile, the price of crude oil has dropped from $113 in May, and is now trading around $92 a barrel.
