THUNDER BAY – As Canada Day rapidly approaches, the price of gas has started to spike in Northwestern Ontario.
Stations in Thunder Bay have jacked up the price at the pump about eight cents a litre for regular unleaded, to $1.469. This is about 16 cents a litre above the Ontario average of $1.30.
OntarioGasPrices.com still lists a handful of stations in the city selling a litre of unleaded fuel for $1.386 a litre, but the vast majority have crept past $1.40.
Stations in Terrace Bay are selling a litre of regular unleaded for $1.489 and a station in Lac des Milles Lac is up to $1.549.
