Gas prices spiking to $1.359

THUNDER BAY – A dramatic jump at the pump on Thursday night means higher costs for Thunder Bay motorists.

Several stations in the city have hiked the cost of a litre of regular unleaded gasoline to $1.359, up as much as 10 cents over the price at the start of the day.

Shell and Esso stations appear to be taking the lead on the increase, with stations on both the north and south sides raising their prices Thursday night.

A number of stations, including the Superstore and the Husky on Alloy Drive, have yet to up the cost of their gasoline.

The average price of gas in Ontario, according to gasbuddy.com, is $1.259.
