THUNDER BAY – Gas prices at local pumps are falling.

Late last week many local gas bars featured prices near $1.40-per-litre of regular gas. That was among the highest prices in the province, according to online gas-price watchdog ontariogasprices.com.

As of Monday morning, that same website was reporting price ranges at local pumps between $1.319- to $1.369-per litre.
Meanwhile, at neighbouring Fort William First Nations, gas prices as low as $1.07-per litre had been reported.

Thunder Bay’s falling prices come at a time when the provincial average is trending up. That could be a sign that local prices will remain where they are or even boomerang back up.

Ontario’s average fuel price is listed at $1.07, while the national average is slightly higher at $1.13.
