The George Jeffrey Children's Centre on Monday named its permanent CEO.
Tom Walters has accepted the top job at the centre. He has been serving as the interim CEO since June of this year.
The centre works with kids who have physical and developmental disabilities.
Walters previously worked in children's mental health care for 25 years at the Thunder Bay Children's Centre.
As the George Jeffrey CEO he wants to look at how wait times for families looking for care can be reduced, as well as how they can better access children in remote communities.
Currently there is a wait-list of around 400 children, which translates into wait times between one and three years.
