THUNDER BAY - The George Jeffrey Children's Foundation has announced a new annual fundraising event.
It's in partnership with Vanderwees Home and Garden as well as Thunder Bay Rotary Clubs.
The month of September will bring the first annual Joe Vanderwees Memorial Mini Golf in honour of the former city councilor and community leader.
It will be held at Vanderwees Home and Garden, and proceeds will go to support the George Jeffrey Children's Foundation.
Executive Director Mary Anne Comuzzi said Joe Vanderwees played a key role in the community, and this is their way of recognizing that.
The event will be held on September 15. Registration can be confirmed through the George Jeffrey Children's Foundation.
