Geraldton man charged in historic sexual assault incidents

OPP say Henry Maki, 88, will make his first court appearance next month.

GERALDTON, Ont. – An 88-year-old Geraldton, Ont. man is facing several sexual-assault related charged involving alleged offences dating back as far as 1971.

Henry Maki was arrested and charged with a variety of offences, including rape, sexual intercourse with a female under 14 years of age, sexual intercourse with a female between 14 and 16 years of age and sexual intercourse with a female.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 9 in Geraldton

Ontario Provincial Police say the offences took place between 1971 and 1984 and if anyone with information about the case, they’re asked for phone the OPP crime unit at 807-354-1333 or 1-888-310-1122.
