Geraldton is under a boil water advisory following a multiple breaks in one of the town’s major pipelines.
The two breaks happened on sometime Sunday night. The breaks caused a decrease in pressure and forced the Ministry of Health to declare a boil advisory.
Greenstone mayor Renald Beaulieu said they lost pressure for about 20 minutes but that was enough to have the ministry declare a boil advisory.
“Everything is repaired it is just a standard and we have no choice,” he said. “We have to follow it.”
He said it will be up to the province to lift the advisory.
