THUNDER BAY -- A veteran councillor has made his decision and is back in the election race.
Trevor Giertuga will again seek the McIntyre Ward seat, joining Logan Ollivier and Wesley Ramage.
Ed Hailio also filed Thursday to run at-large, while Vanessa Catalan has pulled her name from that list.
That means there are now 18 candidates vying for the five at-large seats available.
In Northwood, David Polhill has withdrawn his name from the race.
That leaves incumbent Mark Bentz and challenger Shelby Ch’ng as the two remaining candidates.
