Glance at Crime: 11 assaults, 30 thefts

City police were busy responding to more than 150 incidents last week.

City police responded to more than 150 criminal incidents during the week of Monday, December 4 through Sunday, December 10.

Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services.

This week’s report shows police were just as busy on the south side as the north side, responding to 75 criminal incidents on both sides of the Harbour Expressway.

The more than 150 incidents reported last week is an estimate and does not include traffic cases.

South of the Harbour Expressway, some of the more serious incidents included:

• 7 assaults
• 4 break and enters
• 4 property crimes
• 1 robbery
• 15 thefts
• 3 thefts from vehicle
• 6 thefts of vehicle

Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway some of the more serious incidents included:

• 4 assaults
• 7 break and enters
• 6 property crimes
• 2 robbery
• 15 thefts
• 5 thefts from vehicle
• 1 thefts of vehicle
• 2 weapons charges

The vast majority of cases city police responded to were listed as either liquor, disorder and property crime.
