City police responded to more than 146 criminal incidents during the week of Monday, December 25 through Sunday, December 31.
Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services.
This week’s report shows police were slightly busier on the south side, responding to 81 criminal incidents compared to 64 cases north of the Harbour Expressway.
The more than 146 incidents reported last week is an estimate and does not include traffic cases.
South of the Harbour Expressway, some of the more serious incidents included:
• 15 assaults
• 12 break and enters
• 6 property crimes
• 2 robberies
• 9 thefts
• 5 thefts from vehicle
• 3 thefts of vehicle
• 2 weapons charges
Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway some of the more serious incidents included:
• 6 assaults
• 5 break and enters
• 6 property crimes
• 4 robberies
• 1 sexual assault
• 14 thefts
• 1 theft from vehicle
• 1 thefts of vehicle
• 3 weapons charges
The vast majority of cases city police responded to were listed as either liquor, disorder and property crime.
