City police were busy responding to more than 206 criminal incidents last week.

City police responded to more than 206 criminal incidents during the week of Monday, May 7 through Sunday, May 13.

Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services.

This week’s report shows police were slightly busier on the north side, responding to 109 criminal incidents compared to 97 cases south of the Harbour Expressway.

The more than 206 incidents reported last week is an estimate and does not include traffic cases.

North of the Harbour Expressway, some of the more serious incidents included:

• 16 assaults
• 9 break and enters
• 11 property crimes
• 4 robberies
• 1 other sexual assault
• 1 sexual assault
• 13 thefts
• 5 thefts from vehicle
• 5 weapons charges

Meanwhile, south of the Harbour Expressway some of the more serious incidents included:

• 11 assaults
• 9 break and enters
• 6 property crimes
• 1 robbery
• 1 other sexual assault
• 1 sexual assault
• 5 thefts
• 4 thefts from vehicle
• 2 thefts of vehicle
• 6 weapons charges

The vast majority of cases city police responded to were listed as either liquor, disorder and property crime.
